Monument Valley

Monument Valley Park is another place not to be missed in Arizona. It is a place that comes under Navajo Parks and Administration Department.

This great valley boasts sandstone masterpieces that tower at heights of 400 to 1,000 feet. framed by scenic clouds casting shadows that graciously roam the desert floor. The angle of the sun accents these graceful formations, providing scenery that is simply spellbinding.

You can get to this place from Flagstaff or Phoenix. See the map below for more details.

Corkscrew Canyon

Corkscrew Canyon or Antelope Canyon as it is called by the locals is a unique canyon found near the city of Page in Arizona. It lies in the land that belongs to the local natives of that region. The canyon is unique because one can walk through it and as the name suggests you will see "screws" created by the gushing rain water.

You can get to this place either from Phoenix or from Flagstaff. See map below for more details.

Land of the birds

A group of four from Cognizant Photographers Club made a trip to Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary. The season for 2008 had just started and we wanted to be there to watch the winged visitors at action.

Amazing experience it was. Some select pictures from our outing are below.
